Be it racist, homophobic, childish or just plain annoying…these are the people who ruin every online game I play.

Since I choose to play shooters mostly it seems that I’m more likely to meet up with these asshats and made to suffer playing with and against the dregs of this online society.

Recently I began to force myself to play against these people anyway, hoping to meet one or two new people that I could actually add to my friends list but even then it seemed futile.

But just last week I found a site called GeezerGamers.com, a website devoted to hooking up more mature players for Xbox Live and other online gaming platforms.

I still haven’t had the time to actually join up with many players yet but so far so good. The forums are filled with friendly, helpful individuals who seem to be looking for the exact same gaming experience as I am.

Hopefully with time I will build a proper friends list and not be subjected to the immature race of mutants that have been plaguing my PvP.

It’s hard to feel good about yourself when you just told a 12-year-old to “Shut the F#*& up!” because he’s been singing through an entire death match.

The biggest shit-stirrer when it comes to video games, laywer Jack Thompson, should be permanently disbarred in 30 days.

Meaning companies like Rockstar, the makers of Grand Theft Auto can temporarily breath a collective sigh of relief because they won’t have him around to hassle them anymore.

The Court approves the corrected referee’s report and John Bruce Thompson is permanently disbarred, effective thirty days from the date of this order so that respondent can close out his practice and protect the interests of existing clients. If respondent notifies the Court in writing that he is no longer practicing and does not need the thirty days to protect existing clients, this Court will enter an order making the permanent disbarment effective immediately. Respondent shall accept no new business from the date this order is filed.

It wasn’t video games that made me want to be violent, it was Jack Thompson trying to stop me from playing these video games.

So I am very pleased to see this guy put out of commission.

Yes, it is true. Although the CGI film did well enough to warrent a sequel, there has been much talk between Imagi and Warners to do a better “re-invention” (newest Hollywood buzzword) of the TMNT’s, in a live action film–like what was done with Batman. Back to basics, back to the origin and the intro of the Shredder, etc…there have been talks, trips to Northampton to talk to Mr Laird, and discussions with the original “first” TMNT film director Steve Barron to come back and do it right–but no official word yet…will keep you posted. I just hope that when people like Kevin here are using the Dark Knight as an example of what they are shooting for, they mean a good script, filming, actors and not just “a dark version”.

Aside from the pointed ears and purple skin, I cannot do the things a Night Elf can. For instance, a Night Elf can run without stopping for eternity. That is if they don’t run straight into a level 70 Rogue.

I probably couldn’t run without a handful of breaks to the convenience store down the street.

These guys prove it with their Treadmill/World of Warcraft simulator with a “Race Across Azeroth”.

At least they didn’t try to prove that you can’t dance naked on a mailbox for 12 hours.

These are likely the words from a parent who just doesn’t understand.

While others laugh at this, I know exactly how the poor kid feels. I too have been known to shout “WHY ARE YOU MAKING ME DO THIS?!” into my TV when a game decides to screw with me after I’ve put in hours of personal time to complete it.

The only thing I can hope for him is that he learns to control the physical part of his game rage and doesn’t have to replace numerous controllers and a flatscreen TV.

I’ve been over it in my mind and I can’t think of a single pixelated chick that they might be missing and I’m pretty sure they excluded Lara Croft because she’s technically not the typical “fighter” for which they are talking about but I’ll let it go because they have outdone themselves.

I would probably rearrange the list to my own preference but for what it is, I’m happy.

And if you’re wondering, Tina Armstrong has always been my fav.

Though some people have been making fun and calling names, I think Halo Kid is fantastic. The effort and time it must have taken to recreate all the weapons from Halo 3 is worth at least a little praise.

Not to mention his dead-on impersonation of the movements, including the infamous “teabagging” crouch.

So give the kid some props that he’s being creative and having fun doing something he enjoys instead of going out and getting into trouble like most kids these days.

Besides, we here at College Dweeb can relate as I’m sure at least some of us have created thier own cardboard Sword of Omens from Thundercats.
